Quick Change! From the office and out to dinner Valentine’s outfit…

Valentine’s Day!  Out on a date straight from work?

Today is Valentine’s and I started to think about all those ladies who need to put together a fabulous outfit very quickly after a busy day at the office.

Classic and chic in the office…

For the office I’ve chosen a classic skirt suit from Hobbs worn with a scoop neck red top, also from Hobbs. I’ve added a fabulous silk scarf, a pair of comfortable and chic patent leather shoes and pulled the look together with an amazing red and black tote bag.

Store your outfit during the day…

During the day keep the earrings, a statement ring and your favourite red lipstick inside the clutch bag. The black leather pencil skirt does not crease easily so fold it neatly and store it with your heels and your clutch bag inside your tote.

Quick change!  From office professional to sexy sophistication…

Now for the quick change. Take off the jacket and skirt and put on the leather pencil skirt with a stunning waist cinching belt. Pop on a pair of glittering dangly earrings, a cocktail ring, your best red lipstick, some sexy leopard print heels and add a red trimmed clutch and your ready to go out.

Hopefully, you won’t have to add your own red rose!

Have a great Valentine’s!

What to wear on a rainy day commute to work….

Rainy Day? Commute in Style…..

Today was a rainy day here in London and so I started to think about all the busy ladies who commute to their jobs everyday and need a cheery outfit to lift their spirits on their way to work. I’ve chosen the classic colour combination of red, white and black which would suit ladies with Clear or Deep colouring, but Cools could wear it too if they opt for reds that have a blue undertone. Stripes are a key trend this season, so I’ve chosen a black ad white striped cardigan and put it with a pair of black bootleg trousers. Both items are from Debenhams.

This look is perfect for Neat Hourglass figures but especially good for Triangles (Pears) as the horizontal stripes will widen the upper body to balance the hips. The trousers have also been chosen with the Triangle in mind. There are no pockets which might draw attention to wider hips and the bootleg cut balances the figure.  The black court shoes (pumps) are from Dune. They are perfect for work as they are neither too high nor too low and would be appropriate in any office.  I’ve added a gorgeous red raincoat from Aquascutum which will brighten any cloudy skies, added a chic patent leather tote and finished the look with a very pretty heart trimmed umbrella as it’s coming up to Valentine’s Day!

Enjoy your commute!

Outfit Inspiration: Rainy Day Commute to Work Outfit

What to wear on the School Run…Outfit for Busy Mums….

Wednesday’s Outfit for Mums on the School Run

Following on from yesterday’s outfit for busy ladies, today I looked at what to wear as a busy mum on the school run.

Simple, Casual Chic for Busy Ladies

My client today was a really natural and casual lady who wanted simple, unfussy and easy to wear clothes. She loved Whitestuff so I’ve chosen items from their latest collection and put them together with a few bits and bobs from Fat Face – also one of her favourite shops.

Romantic Accessories for Valentine’s Day?

I was feeling rather romantic (Valentine’s is not far away) when I put this outfit together, so I went for a pretty pink tunic dress over a lacy camisole and worn with a pair of leggings (but you could substitute jeans if legging aren’t your thing).

Since comfort is also important, and since most little kiddies run about or ride on scooters (or they do at my school!) you’ll need a pair of low heeled or flat boots that are good to chase after them if you need to!

Finish the romantic look off with this very pretty heart necklace and throw on a floral scarf and it’s Springtime at last!
